🛠️ System Updates and Bug Fixes
This release includes enhancements to the Student API and Canvas integration, as well as important bug fixes that improve data accuracy and system reliability.
✅ System Improvements
Student API Enhancements
The following fields have been added to the Student API:
- Medical Insurance Number
- Medical Insurance Expiry Date
These additions support more comprehensive student data management and enable seamless integration with systems that rely on medical insurance information.
Canvas Grades Integration – Boundary Validation
Canvas grades integration has been improved with the implementation of grade boundary checks. If a submitted grade falls outside of the expected range:
- The specific entry is flagged and logged as an error in the Canvas logs.
- The overall process will continue uninterrupted, preventing one invalid grade from halting the entire integration job.
🔧 Bug Fixes
SDR Extract – EFTS Consumption Validation
The SDR (Single Data Return) extract now excludes records from the following files if they show 0 EFTS consumed in the selected year:
- Student Register
- Course Register
- Course Enrolment
This ensures that only valid enrolment and consumption data is included in reporting outputs.
Title Salutation Mapping Fix for JotForm Submissions
An issue with title salutation mapping from JotForm submissions has been resolved. Previously, variations like Mr, mr, or Mister were inconsistently mapped. With this fix:
- All recognised versions are now accurately mapped to the “Mr” salutation in SELMA.
- Title data integrity is now preserved across all relevant forms and system records.
